Medicomp nonwoven compresses are made of a mixture of viscose and polyester fibers. The viscose content is between 67% and 70%, the remaining part consists of polyester fibers. The compresses are free of binders and optical brighteners, air-permeable and quadruple layered, and available in various sizes. The compresses can be unfolded if a larger size is required.
Nonwoven dressings are intended for general wound care, including surgical procedures, and can be used as a primary dressing for injuries, for initial cleansing of wounds and cleansing of intact and injured skin, as a carrier material for external preparations (e.g., disinfectants, ointments), as a secondary dressing for acute and chronic wounds, as a protective wound pad, and for absorption of body fluids. They can also be used as a mechanical barrier.
